Cloud Systems and DevOps Analyst

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) seeks a Cloud Systems and DevOps Analyst to provide specialized technical expertise for its Microsoft Azure environment. Working within the Decision‑Support and Data Science Division, the analyst will ensure the availability, security, scalability and performance of enterprise cloud systems while supporting the migration of legacy workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and administer Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms.
• Monitor, optimize and secure cloud resources to meet performance and cost targets.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts.
• Collaborate with internal development teams to translate on‑premises application requirements into cloud‑native Azure solutions.
• Execute migration of legacy systems from Proxmox virtualization to Azure, including resource sizing and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline creation, and IaC.
• Hands‑on experience migrating workloads from on‑premises virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox) to public cloud.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
