Civil Engineer - Steel Structures and Industrial Projects

About the role

E.C.M s.a.l, a contracting company active in steel structures and mechanical works, is hiring a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer in Batroun. The engineer contributes to the design, planning and execution of civil and structural components for industrial projects, with a focus on steel structures and mechanical works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review civil engineering designs, drawings and calculations.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and other engineers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, safety regulations and client specifications.
• Carry out site visits, monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues.
• Support quality control activities and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Professional experience as a Civil Engineer in steel structures, heavy industrial works or similar environments.
• Experience in project planning and coordination for construction or industrial projects.
• Previous experience in large-scale industrial, mechanical or cement plant projects is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly in written and spoken form.

Required skills

• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and design, including stormwater management and related infrastructure.
• Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD and structural analysis tools, and basic MS Office.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and quality standards.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
