Chief Accountant – KSA Operations

About the role

The Chief Accountant – KSA Operations will lead day‑to‑day accounting activities for our Saudi Arabia business, ensuring accurate financial records, timely closing, and full compliance with local tax and statutory requirements. You will work closely with finance, audit, and external partners to uphold strong internal controls and IFRS reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, provisions and bank reconciliations.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing processes, preparing financial statements and management reports in line with IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with KSA VAT, Zakat, withholding tax and other statutory regulations.
• Monitor cash‑flow, oversee cash and bank transactions, and support cash‑flow management.
• Coordinate budgets, forecasts, financial analyses and management reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks and KSA authorities.
• Support ERP implementation, accounting process improvements and reporting tool enhancements.

Required profile

• BA in Accounting (Master’s degree a plus); professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA preferred.
• 5–8 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in senior accountant or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience handling KSA accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Background in contracting or construction industry is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi accounting standards.
• Expertise in KSA VAT, Zakat and withholding tax.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Hands‑on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, provisions and bank reconciliations.
