About the role
The Case Management Officer will support and supervise caseworkers in delivering child protection services to vulnerable children and families, including refugees, returnees, and host community members. Working under the Child Protection Program Coordinator, the role ensures effective case management across various contexts and contributes to safeguarding children.
Key responsibilities
- Provide case management support following national SOPs, including identification, assessment, referral, and follow‑up of at‑risk children and host families.
- Coordinate closely with partner agencies, UNICEF, MOSA, and MOJ/UPEL to align activities with national policies and standards.
- Conduct outreach in local communities, informal settlements, and other settings to identify the most vulnerable children.
- Support families hosting children by offering training, coaching, and social assistance.
- Maintain up‑to‑date service mapping, highlight gaps, and communicate protection trends, needs, and risks.
- Supervise and coach caseworkers on identification, assessment, placement, referral, and follow‑up processes.
- Participate in weekly case management meetings and case conferences, and submit related reports.
- Maintain accurate case files, registers, and electronic databases.
Required profile
- Experience in child protection or humanitarian case management.
- Ability to work under supervision of a program coordinator and guidance of senior protection staff.
- Willingness to adapt working hours during major emergencies.
- Level 3 child safeguarding clearance, with regular contact with children.
