Campus Custodian (Byblos Campus)

About the role

The Lebanese American University is seeking a reliable Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order across its Byblos campus. Reporting to the Custodial Services Supervisor, you will ensure that all indoor spaces are presentable for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting campus events.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned indoor areas, including floors, fixtures, windows, locker rooms, classrooms, dormitories, labs, gyms, and common spaces.
• Maintain restrooms and kitchenettes by cleaning, disinfecting, polishing, and restocking supplies.
• Handle waste disposal, recycling, and transport of waste to designated locations.
• Request cleaning materials, maintain custodial equipment, and support office staff as needed.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and support of university events, receptions, and activities.
• Monitor safety standards, report hazards, and perform routine maintenance checks.

Required profile

• Elementary education level.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar custodial role.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to cleaning tasks.
• Effective communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
