Business Controller - Beauty & Luxury

About the role

A strategic and analytical Business Controller is sought for the Beauty & Luxury team. The role leads the preparation of annual budgets, reforecasts and strategic plans, consolidates inputs from Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Accounting into a coherent financial plan, and acts as a strategic advisor to the Business Manager / Sector Head.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgets, reforecasts and strategic plans aligned with Group guidelines, and consolidate inputs from Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Accounting
• Build and maintain financial models for pricing scenarios, promotions, product launches and commercial initiatives
• Drive month-end closing, validating revenue, trade spend, gross margin, OPEX allocation, inventory valuation and shrinkage
• Validate the sector P&L against the General Ledger, prepare monthly dashboards, variance analyses and flash results, and recommend corrective actions
• Evaluate promotions, pricing, discounts, FOC schemes and trade investment efficiency, including post-promotion ROI
• Analyse margin, customer and brand profitability, SKU-level profitability and cost to serve, and support price adjustments and tender costings
• Monitor receivables and overdue risks, validate stock levels and inventory aging, and support cashflow planning with Treasury and AR/AP teams
• Ensure compliance with Group policies on pricing, promotions, purchasing, accounting classifications and FOC issuance, and liaise with internal and external auditors
• Improve reporting systems (SAP, BO, OneStream), ensure data integrity across ERP modules and drive automation through BI dashboards
• Handle Group Finance requests for consolidation, budgeting, audit and reporting, and manage team functions such as hiring, performance reviews, coaching and disciplinary matters

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field; Master's degree or CMA/CPA is a plus
• Experience in FMCG, distribution, pharma or supply-chain-intensive industries
• Excellent command of English and Arabic; French is a plus
