Building Materials Store Manager – Flagship Showroom (Accra)

About the role

Twyford, an international building‑materials manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead its flagship showroom in Accra, Ghana. The role combines premium retail management, visual merchandising and high‑value client relationship responsibilities in a fast‑growing market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily showroom operations and ensure premium customer experiences that meet international brand standards.
• Design and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, profit and customer‑satisfaction targets.
• Recruit, train, coach and motivate sales and support teams, fostering product expertise and a professional culture.
• Maintain high‑standard visual merchandising, product displays and showroom hygiene.
• Develop long‑term relationships with architects, contractors, developers and institutional clients.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to support inventory planning and commercial decisions.
• Manage after‑sales processes, including custom orders, delivery coordination and customer feedback optimisation.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, operational procedures and health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of formal retail management experience in large‑scale building‑materials or home‑improvement chains.
• Proven track record in sales team leadership, personnel training and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of retail KPIs, sales forecasting, inventory control and profit‑margin management.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with ability to build stable long‑term client partnerships.
• Adaptability to overseas environments; previous experience in Africa or relocation is a significant advantage.
