Bilingual Translator and Editor

About the role

We are looking for a Bilingual Translator and Editor to ensure the accuracy, fluency, and quality of multilingual content for our maritime media platform. The role combines translation, editing, and cultural adaptation to deliver high‑standard publications in English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Translate written materials between English and Arabic, maintaining accuracy, cultural relevance, and context.
• Edit and proofread translated content to preserve meaning, style, and tone, correcting grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
• Localize content for target audiences, adapting idioms, expressions, and cultural references.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and other team members to produce seamless multilingual output.
• Conduct research on specialized terminology and industry‑specific jargon to ensure precise translation.
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Communications, or a related field.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic with exceptional command of grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translation and editing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
