Barista – Specialty Hot Drinks

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista – Specialty Hot Drinks to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will craft high‑quality specialty coffees, signature hot beverages and teas while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee and hot beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Craft espresso‑based drinks such as espresso, Americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white, macchiato, mocha and other specialty beverages.
• Execute signature hot drinks, seasonal creations and creative beverage recipes.
• Create and maintain high‑quality latte art where required.
• Prepare specialty teas, hot chocolate, chai, matcha and other non‑coffee hot beverages.
• Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked barista station throughout service.
• Operate and care for espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment and other beverage equipment.
• Carry out daily opening and closing procedures, including equipment cleaning and calibration.
• Monitor inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, garnishes and supplies, communicating replenishment needs.
• Collaborate with service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations and assist in developing new specialty beverages.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop, premium restaurant, hotel or high‑end hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee preparation, espresso extraction and milk texturing.
• Proven ability to operate and maintain professional espresso machines and grinders.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
