Auditor – External Audit (Beirut)

About the role

Compex Group is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Auditor to join its Beirut office. The role focuses exclusively on external audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring high‑quality audit delivery in line with international and firm‑specific standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute external audit procedures, including risk assessment, test of controls and substantive testing.
• Gather, analyse and verify financial data and balances, documenting findings in detailed working papers.
• Prepare and assist in drafting audit reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and applicable auditing standards.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders to understand business processes, risks and internal controls.
• Support continuous improvement of audit methodologies and share knowledge within the audit team.

Required profile

• Strong external audit expertise covering audit planning, risk assessment, control testing and substantive procedures.
• Solid accounting and financial analysis skills with knowledge of IFRS or equivalent standards.
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities, including preparation of working papers and audit findings.
• Effective communication and client‑facing skills, with the ability to explain audit observations clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• 1–3 years of external audit experience, preferably in an international or regional audit firm.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with audit software tools.
• Integrity, confidentiality and adherence to professional ethical standards.
