Assistant Director of Engineering

About the role

The Assistant Director of Engineering supports the efficient operation of the Engineering department, ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and energy systems function reliably for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel real estate.
• Guarantee continuous production and supply of energy throughout the property.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with specifications and hotel procedures, especially regarding guest contact.
• Optimise maintenance costs while maintaining high service standards.
• Comply with all Kempinski company policies and adapt to additional tasks as business needs evolve.

Required profile

• Lebanese nationality.
• Engineering degree in HVACR, architecture, or an equivalent background.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with building technology, including heating, ventilation, plumbing, electricity, and automatic operation.
• Proven experience in a managerial position with staff supervision.
• Excellent oral and written skills in the local language and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making, organisational, and leadership abilities.
