About the role

AKQA is seeking an Art Director for its Beirut studio. The role blends strategic insight with visual craftsmanship to create compelling brands, products, campaigns and experiences for regional and global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead concept development, visual direction and design systems with a maker‑mindset.
• Shape narratives through composition, rhythm and emotion, ensuring every frame conveys intention.
• Maintain obsessive attention to detail across platforms, film, digital experiences, UI and prototypes.
• Generate ideas that extend beyond screens into installations, products and tech‑enabled experiences.
• Design visuals that attract cultural attention and achieve PR impact.
• Own the creative process from sketch to production, balancing hands‑on work with leadership.
• Collaborate fluidly with writers, strategists, technologists, makers and AI systems.
• Elevate team energy, mentor junior talent and foster a high‑temperature creative environment.
• Challenge briefs respectfully, uncover tension and push for work that moves people.
• Present concepts with clear storytelling and conviction.
