Android Developer (Transport Automation)

About the role

We are seeking an Android Developer to create and maintain mobile applications that automate processes in the transport sector. The role focuses on delivering elegant, high‑performance UI/UX while integrating with back‑end services.

Key responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into clean, high‑quality Java code.
• Design, build, and maintain reusable, high‑performance Android components.
• Ensure optimal performance, responsiveness, and reliability of the application.
• Identify bottlenecks, debug issues, and implement fixes.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation through version control and CI pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK across multiple versions and screen sizes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs (e.g., Retrofit) and back‑end integration.
• Familiarity with Android background services and ORM libraries such as Room or Realm.
• Proficiency in Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Ability to design natural user interfaces using touch and device sensors (GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer).
• Understanding of Google’s design guidelines and open‑source Android ecosystem.
• Capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of cloud messaging APIs and push‑notification implementation.
• Experience with benchmarking, optimization, Git, and continuous integration.
