AI Team Lead

About the role

Africell is seeking an AI Team Lead to design, develop and deploy enterprise AI, Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions from its Connect Hub in Lebanon. The role blends hands‑on technical work with leadership, solution architecture and AI strategy across the telecom business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the AI team and oversee end‑to‑end delivery of AI, ML, Generative AI, NLP, RAG and AI Agent solutions.
• Translate business challenges into AI use cases, technical architecture and implementation roadmaps.
• Design, develop and review production‑grade ML/DL models for forecasting, classification, segmentation, anomaly detection, recommendation, churn prediction and predictive analytics.
• Build LLM‑based applications such as AI agents, enterprise copilots and conversational assistants, and implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation architectures.
• Define and enforce MLOps/LLMOps practices, model monitoring, prompt management and lifecycle governance.
• Collaborate with data engineering, software engineering, product and commercial teams to ensure reliable data and seamless integration.
• Monitor deployed solutions, improve accuracy, performance and cost efficiency, and communicate impact to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with proven leadership of technical projects or teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
