Affiliated Country Manager – Lebanon

About the role

Humanity & Inclusion is seeking an Affiliated Country Manager for Lebanon to lead its humanitarian and development programmes. Based in Beirut, the manager will oversee a portfolio that includes health and rehabilitation, inclusive education, humanitarian mine action, and emergency preparedness, working in a challenging post‑conflict environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all HI activities in Lebanon, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and donor requirements.
• Manage partnerships with local NGOs, authorities and community structures to deliver multi‑disciplinary rehabilitation, inclusive education and mine‑action services.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and resource mobilisation for a 12‑month fixed‑term programme.
• Monitor security, macro‑economic and humanitarian context, adapting programmes to evolving needs.
• Represent HI in coordination mechanisms, advocacy forums and with government bodies.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring staff safety, performance management and capacity building.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale humanitarian or development programmes in conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong understanding of health‑rehabilitation, inclusive education, mine action and emergency response sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work with donors, government agencies and local partners.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning and crisis‑management skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
