Accounting Team Lead – Republic of Congo

About the role

Codimex Group is seeking an Accounting Team Lead to oversee the accounting operations for its activities in the Republic of Congo. Based in Beirut, you will manage a small accounting team, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support financial decision‑making across multiple business sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily bookkeeping and review journal entries for the Congo entities.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and ensure timely financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and provide analytical insights to management.
• Liaise with local teams, external partners, and auditors to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in accounting and finance, with end‑to‑end cycle management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Experience leading or supervising an accounting team.
• Prior experience in a multi‑entity or multi‑country environment, preferably in Africa or emerging markets.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work on‑site in Beirut.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
