Accounting & Auditing Consultant (Abidjan)

About the role

The Chief Accountant / Auditor will lead accounting and financial reporting functions for clients across Abidjan, Lebanon and other African countries, ensuring compliance with best practices and SD Group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for client entities and internal operations.
• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
• Plan, execute, and supervise internal audit and financial review engagements across multiple client projects and locations.
• Provide financial, accounting, and audit advisory services, supporting the setup and optimisation of client finance structures.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and audit team members and deliver training to client finance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and auditing, including leadership and team‑management responsibilities.
• Fluency in English and French, high integrity and professionalism.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards and financial regulations.
