Senior Accountant – Senegal

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Senior Accountant based in Senegal. You will lead the general accounting function for a manufacturing and beverage company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax processes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and inventory valuation.
• Provide variance analysis and insights on financial performance of the manufacturing plant.
• Assist with budget forecasts, financial projections and cost‑accounting activities.
• Collaborate with operations to analyze product costing, waste and production‑related financial data.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations and support internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices within the accounting department.
• Lead or support the implementation of new accounting systems or software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Dolphin accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Experience in cost accounting and inventory valuation.
