SBC Coordinator – Beirut, Lebanon

About the role

The Social & Behavior Change (SBC) Coordinator provides technical and operational support for the planning, implementation and monitoring of SBC interventions across UNICEF programmes in Lebanon. The role strengthens community engagement, supports behaviour‑change initiatives and enhances accountability mechanisms while aligning with UNICEF priorities and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and operationalisation of evidence‑based SBC strategies and plans across programme sectors.
• Contribute to situation analyses, including behavioural, social and cultural assessments.
• Lead the integration of SBC approaches into programme design and planning processes.
• Oversee the implementation of SBC activities in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
• Lead community‑engagement initiatives and outreach targeting vulnerable populations.
• Develop, adapt and disseminate SBC materials, tools and communication products.

Required profile

• Experience in designing and implementing SBC interventions in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with UNICEF programme priorities, risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, government agencies and local communities.
• Strong analytical skills for situation analysis and monitoring.
