Quality Control Officer

About the role

The Quality Control Officer ensures that all food products meet the company’s quality and safety standards. Working on the production floor, the officer conducts inspections, tests, and documentation to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in‑process items and finished products to verify they meet predetermined specifications.
• Perform and schedule food safety tests, including microbiological analyses, and maintain testing records.
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Support HACCP implementation and assist with on‑site audits by external providers.
• Identify and resolve quality or food‑safety non‑conformities, providing corrective recommendations.
• Inspect equipment and verify it meets quality‑control standards.
• Maintain production reports, temperature logs, CCP monitoring and traceability documentation.
• Update and review documents related to the food‑safety management system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or Nutrition.
• At least one year of experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience in a microbiology laboratory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills for reporting findings and motivating production staff.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive attitude.
