Presales Engineer – IT Infrastructure Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Presales Engineer to support our sales team with technical expertise on IT infrastructure solutions, primarily HPE servers, storage, and backup systems. You will work closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams to design, present, and validate tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑sales technical support for HPE server, storage and backup solutions.
• Deliver online and on‑site product presentations and demonstrations for prospects and existing clients.
• Collaborate with distributors to obtain accurate quotations and prepare costing sheets, BOQs, and detailed pricing.
• Analyse customer requirements, influence solution design, identify gaps and propose suitable alternatives.
• Work with Project and Technical Managers to design and build customized infrastructure solutions.
• Support the sales team in responding to RFI/RFPs, ensuring solutions meet client needs.
• Liaise with vendors for technical inquiries and escalations.
• Coordinate proof‑of‑concept (POC) activities and deliver training sessions to clients.
• Produce complete technical documentation for implementation teams and flag potential technical risks.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or pre‑sales engineering.
• Strong knowledge of hardware and network architecture.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization and container technologies.
• Excellent technical presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
