MHPSS and Protection Coordinator – Beirut, Lebanon

About the role

The MHPSS and Protection Coordinator will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of mental health, psychosocial support and protection programmes for Première Urgence Internationale’s mission in Lebanon. Based in Beirut, the coordinator ensures that interventions are of high quality, aligned with strategic objectives and responsive to the evolving humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies for MHPSS and Protection in line with PUI frameworks.
• Conduct context analysis, identify needs and design new interventions.
• Monitor programme performance, analyse strengths and weaknesses, and recommend adjustments.
• Provide technical support and capacity‑building to MHPSS and Protection teams, including project staff and specialists.
• Represent PUI to authorities, donors and other humanitarian actors on MHPSS and Protection matters.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and donor requirements throughout programme cycles.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating MHPSS and Protection programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of the Lebanese context and relevant protection standards.
• Ability to develop strategies, conduct monitoring and evaluation, and produce high‑quality reports.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
