Management Control Officer

About the role

The Management Control Officer will support TotalEnergies' finance team in a volatile political and economic environment, ensuring cost optimization, budget adherence, and robust financial reporting. The role focuses on delivering accurate variance analysis, supporting decision‑making, and driving continuous improvement across the affiliate.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and consolidate management information, delivering timely variance analysis versus budget.
• Participate in monthly closing, preparing affiliate results, and handling FICO gaps, PCA entries, OPEX, and provisions.
• Maintain SAP cost‑center hierarchy, allocation cycles, and support implementation of new reporting tools.
• Update controlling policies in line with group guidelines and affiliate requirements.
• Provide decision‑support to business units, contributing to BU, PC & LTP exercises and OPEX reporting.
• Promote cost‑control culture, approve spending, and perform monthly controls on MAP, stock, and COS analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance (Master’s degree a plus); CMA certification highly recommended.
• Minimum 6 years of corporate finance experience, including at least 2 years in financial control and budgeting.
• Strong expertise in P&L analysis, budgeting methodologies, and financial performance monitoring.
• Fluent in Arabic, English, and French.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including financial modeling and complex data analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP.
• Variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control techniques.
