Health System Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Health System Chief Financial Officer (HS‑CFO) supports the Vice President for Finance and the Executive Vice President of Health Services in delivering financial guidance for the Integrated Health System across Lebanon and international sites. This senior position drives financial strategy, feasibility studies, pricing models, and tariff negotiations to ensure sustainable growth and high‑quality health services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary financial advisor to senior leadership on strategic decisions, capital investments, and long‑term sustainability.
• Develop and execute the Integrated Health System’s financial strategy, aligning it with the university’s mission and regulatory requirements.
• Provide forward‑looking analysis, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and risk modeling for executive and board decisions.
• Optimize pricing standards, maintain up‑to‑date price lists, and design special pricing models for community patients.
• Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing surcharges, charge capture accuracy, denial management, and appeals to maximize net revenue.
• Negotiate contracts, tariffs, and reimbursement rates with insurers, TPAs, government payers, and other third‑party agencies.
• Monitor payer mix and reimbursement trends in partnership with Revenue Cycle Management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial leadership within health services or hospital systems.
• Proven ability to advise senior executives on complex financial matters and strategic initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk assessment.
• Excellent negotiation skills for contracts, tariffs, and payer relationships.
