Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director for Lebanon will act as a strategic co‑pilot to the Country General Manager and a key member of the local Management Committee. You will steer financial performance, ensure robust internal controls, manage cash flow and treasury in a volatile economic environment, and partner with commercial and brand teams to drive sustainable, profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial advice to the General Manager and brand heads, translating insights into actionable business strategies.
• Optimize the country’s P&L, ROI on advertising, promotion and trade spend, and evaluate commercial policies, pricing and distributor agreements.
• Lead budget construction, trend analysis and three‑year strategic planning; deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting in line with IFRS and Group standards.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management, banking relationships and local currency risk mitigation.
• Supervise working capital, credit management and collection policies.
• Ensure compliance with L'Oréal internal control framework and Lebanese legal, tax and accounting regulations; liaise with auditors and tax consultants.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering agility, transparency and ethical standards.
• Drive digital transformation within finance, including report automation and modern ERP usage.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; CPA, CFA or CMA a strong plus.
• 10+ years progressive finance experience, with 3–5 years in senior financial leadership, preferably in FMCG, beauty or retail.
• Proven experience navigating Lebanon’s financial, banking and regulatory landscape, with strong cash‑management expertise.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French highly desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency with business intelligence tools.
