DevOps Support Engineer – Operations

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to join a high‑impact IS Operations team at a leading financial technology company in Beirut. This role focuses on maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting mission‑critical platforms and infrastructure that serve managed services teams and global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support in‑house platforms, microservices, and containerised services running on AWS.
• Diagnose and resolve software, infrastructure, and operational issues.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and change tickets via ITSM tools.
• Respond to automated alerts to ensure system health and continuity.
• Execute Saturday production releases with accuracy.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring problems and escalate complex cases.
• Carry out routine maintenance, software updates, and security patching.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Collaborate during shift handovers to ensure seamless continuity.
• Recommend process improvements and support end‑users while meeting SLA targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT Support, DevOps Support, Systems Operations, or a similar role.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of core AWS services.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and operational workflows (incident, change, service request management).
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Scripting experience in Bash or Python (plus).
