Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric

About the role

Sucafina is seeking a passionate Data Engineer to design, build, and operate modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric. You will work on ingesting, modeling, and serving data through OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Power BI, delivering trusted and performant datasets at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage Lakehouses (Delta Lake) and Fabric Data Warehouses.
• Develop batch and near‑real‑time data pipelines and dataflows.
• Create and optimise notebook‑based transformations using PySpark and SQL.
• Implement medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) for scalable data curation.
• Publish certified semantic models and Power BI datasets aligned to business domains.
• Optimise storage and compute in OneLake, tune Spark and SQL workloads, and implement robust monitoring and alerting.
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance, including sensitivity labels and row‑level security.
• Use Fabric Git integration and deployment pipelines for CI/CD across environments.
