Art Director / Head of Design

About the role

Madarcomm is looking for a passionate, innovative and experienced Art Director / Head of Design to lead its design team and shape the creative direction across a diverse portfolio of clients. The role suits someone with a strong creative vision, a fresh perspective and the ability to inspire a team, delivering exceptional creative work across brands, industries and platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire the design team, fostering creativity, collaboration and continuous growth.
• Develop and oversee creative concepts and visual direction across all client accounts.
• Ensure consistently high creative standards across branding, social media, digital campaigns and other design deliverables.
• Review, refine and approve designs before client presentations and submissions.
• Adapt creative approaches to different industries, audiences and brand identities.
• Collaborate closely with account management, content and production teams.
• Manage design workflows, priorities and deadlines across multiple projects.
• Bring fresh ideas, challenge conventional thinking and push creative boundaries.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a creative, advertising or digital agency, with proven team leadership experience.
• A strong and diverse portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility and art direction.
• Experience working across different industries, brands and campaign formats.
• Exceptional visual judgment, conceptual thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate designers, give constructive feedback and raise the team's creative output.
• A hands-on, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of branding, digital design, social media and creative trends.
