Account Director

About the role

The Account Director is a senior client and business leader responsible for the overall success, retention, strategic direction, and growth of a portfolio of client accounts. This role goes beyond day‑to‑day management, acting as a strategic advisor and driving commercial opportunities. Agency experience and expertise in organic social media are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Own senior‑level client relationships, leading strategic reviews, QBRs and account planning sessions.
• Develop and continuously refine overall account strategy, aligning organic social, content, creative and other services with client objectives.
• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring proper scoping, realistic timelines, resource allocation and risk mitigation.
• Lead and coordinate Account Executives, bridging communication between clients and internal teams (creative, content, strategy, traffic).
• Monitor performance metrics, prepare monthly reports and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in account management, client services or a senior client‑facing role within an agency.
• Proven ability to own account strategy and manage senior client relationships.
• Strong understanding of advertising, marketing and branding principles.

Required skills

• Agency experience (mandatory).
• Experience managing organic social media.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana.
