Urban Planner

About the role

Dar, part of the Sidara group, is an international multidisciplinary consulting organization covering engineering, architecture, planning, environment, project management, facilities management and economics. It is looking for an Urban Planner to collect and analyse spatial and socio-economic data and to prepare planning outputs such as land use frameworks, urban design strategies and growth scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, map and analyse spatial and socio-economic data to inform planning decisions
• Carry out site analysis, policy research and benchmarking
• Prepare plans, maps, diagrams and charts using GIS, CAD and Adobe tools
• Develop content for planning deliverables such as land use frameworks, urban design strategies and growth scenarios
• Support presentations and quality reviews, applying feedback to drafts
• Track timelines and flag risks or delays early
• Contribute to proposal content (mid level)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or a related field (Master's preferred)
• 0 to 5 years of experience in urban planning or consultancy; internships and academic projects count for entry level
• Analytical thinking, accountability and a collaborative approach

Required skills

• Proficiency in GIS, CAD and Adobe Creative Suite
