Tendering Engineer (MEP)

About the role

The Tendering Engineer (MEP) is a full-time, on-site position based in Beirut. The role prepares and reviews tenders and quotations for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Study tender documents and review quotations against technical specifications and client requirements
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates and technical submissions
• Coordinate with procurement to obtain competitive supplier and subcontractor prices
• Collaborate with project, engineering and procurement teams to clarify requirements, answer queries and optimise bid strategies
• Maintain tender documentation and track submission deadlines
• Support negotiations and handover to project execution teams once bids are awarded

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering or related MEP disciplines
• Experience in procurement, sourcing materials, evaluating offers and supporting vendor selection for MEP projects
• Prior experience in tendering or estimating for MEP or construction projects is an advantage
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Required skills

• MS Office and relevant estimating tools
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
• Cost estimation, quantity take-offs and bid preparation
