Security Solutions Specialist

About the role

The Security Solutions Specialist works at the intersection of SOC operations and security engineering, handling incident investigations, threat hunting, and the integration of advanced cybersecurity solutions into customer environments. This role acts as the technical bridge between the SOC team and specialized security functions, ensuring seamless deployment and optimisation of security tools.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to security incidents escalated from Tier 1 SOC, analysing logs, network traffic and endpoint data.
• Lead containment, eradication and recovery actions, and produce detailed incident reports.
• Conduct proactive threat‑hunting campaigns and perform digital forensic analysis to uncover advanced threats.
• Design, configure and maintain SIEM and SOAR platforms, including log onboarding, correlation rules, dashboards, alerts and automation playbooks.
• Integrate and support Fortinet solutions—especially FortiGate—using APIs, connectors and agents.
• Create implementation guides, runbooks, high‑level and low‑level design documents for repeatable deployments.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of SOC processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in SOC, incident response, security engineering or a similar cybersecurity role.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication abilities.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous learning and security improvement.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with SOAR platforms.
• Deep knowledge of FortiGate and Fortinet security solutions.
• Experience integrating security tools via APIs, log‑forwarding mechanisms and agents.
• Proficiency in log management, event correlation and security automation.
• Threat hunting and digital forensic analysis capabilities.
• Incident response methodology and procedures.
