Security Solutions Specialist

About the role

The Security Solutions Specialist will lead incident investigations, conduct proactive threat hunting and forensic analysis, and integrate and optimise cybersecurity solutions for customers. Acting as the technical bridge between the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and specialised security functions, the role ensures effective detection, response and continuous improvement of security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to escalated security incidents, analysing logs, network traffic and endpoint data to determine impact and root cause.
• Lead containment, eradication and recovery actions, produce incident reports and coordinate escalation to Tier 3 when needed.
• Perform proactive threat‑hunting missions and digital forensic examinations to uncover advanced threats and collect evidence.
• Develop, tune and document detection rules, security use cases and playbooks.
• Integrate, configure and maintain SIEM and SOAR platforms, including log onboarding, correlation rules, dashboards, alerts and automation workflows.
• Deploy and support Fortinet solutions, especially FortiGate firewalls, ensuring proper event monitoring and log collection.
• Create implementation guides, run‑books, high‑level and low‑level designs to enable repeatable, accurate deployments.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to SOC procedures and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of SOC operations, incident response, network security and threat‑hunting methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, SOAR and Fortinet security products.
• Ability to analyse complex security data, troubleshoot integrations and communicate findings clearly.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and security improvement.
