Remote Video Editor – Social Media Content

About the role

As a Video Editor at 4KMEDIA you will produce performance‑driven video content for social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. The role requires a strong grasp of hooks, pacing, retention optimisation, subtitles and platform‑specific formatting, and you will edit in Telugu, English and Hindi as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Create short‑form videos optimised for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and edit long‑form YouTube videos when required.
• Structure each video with a compelling hook in the first 3‑5 seconds and add accurate subtitles in the appropriate language.
• Improve pacing, add transitions, text overlays and sound design to maximise watch time and engagement.
• Collaborate with Social Media Managers and script writers, interpret briefs and suggest improvements to script flow.
• Deliver platform‑specific exports, maintain organised project files and manage revision cycles efficiently.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of hands‑on video‑editing experience, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing reels, short‑form content and promotional videos.
• Ability to edit videos in Telugu, English and Hindi.
• Understanding of audience‑retention techniques and hook‑based editing.
• Self‑discipline for remote work and capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Accurate subtitle creation in Telugu, English and Hindi.
• Basic audio balancing and colour‑correction skills.
• Time‑management and remote‑work discipline.
• Bonus: basic motion‑graphics knowledge in After Effects, thumbnail design basics and experience with performance‑marketing campaigns.
