Quality & Food Safety Manager

About the role

Hallab 1881 is looking for an experienced Quality & Food Safety Manager to lead and enhance food safety and quality assurance across its manufacturing plant, central kitchen, restaurant, and retail outlets. This on‑site position in Tripoli requires a proactive leader who can integrate standards, audits, and training to protect the brand’s legacy of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee, update, and enforce Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and local regulatory requirements across all operational sites.
• Plan and conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes, raw material handling, storage, restaurant kitchens, and retail displays.
• Establish strict supplier quality standards, manage receiving inspections, and evaluate supplier performance.
• Coordinate laboratory testing of products and environments, analyze results, and drive corrective actions.
• Design and deliver continuous training programs on quality and food safety for all employees.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and traceability from raw ingredients to final consumer purchase.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of quality assurance/control experience in the food & beverage sector, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in both industrial food manufacturing (preferably pastry/confectionery) and hospitality/retail operations.
• Relevant certifications in QMS and FSMS trainings.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
