Public Health Officer – Health Facility Supervision

About the role

The Public Health Officer will support and supervise health care facilities in Beirut and Chiyah, ensuring that Relief International’s programs are effectively integrated and delivered. Reporting to the Health Program Coordinator, the role leads a team of community health workers and collaborates closely with medical, nutrition and case management staff.

Key responsibilities

• Represent RI at supported primary health centers (PHCs) and maintain communication with PHC managers.
• Coordinate implementation of Primary Healthcare Center programs in line with national guidelines.
• Provide technical support to health staff to ensure quality service delivery.
• Monitor and report gaps in supplies, equipment, medicines and service‑delivery materials.
• Collect verification documents and ensure accurate patient billing.
• Analyze health data using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for program planning.
• Conduct routine data‑quality checks and monitor progress against indicators.
• Develop and deliver capacity‑building plans, training and on‑the‑job coaching for PHC staff.
• Assist in creating and following up on improvement plans for facility quality.
• Monitor Primary Healthcare Satellite Units, ensuring staffing and service quality.
• Support communicable disease surveillance, outbreak preparedness and early warning reporting.
