Protection Officer – Humanitarian Case Management

About the role

DRC is seeking two Protection Officers to provide case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable populations in Lebanon, including women at risk, older persons and persons with disabilities. The role involves direct counseling, outreach and coordination with partners to ensure safe and dignified access to services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialized case management in line with international best‑practice, assessing needs, developing recovery action plans and making referrals.
• Conduct individual counseling that is age‑ and disability‑appropriate, both in static safe spaces and mobile settings.
• Identify persons at heightened risk through home visits, referrals and stakeholder coordination.
• Maintain accurate case files in protection information management systems, respecting data‑protection policies and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with DRC protection teams and external service providers to secure appropriate services and follow‑up.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans and reports.

Required profile

• Experience providing case management and psychosocial support to people with specific needs.
• Ability to work with women at risk, older persons and persons with disabilities.
• Commitment to confidentiality, non‑discrimination and the safety of affected populations.
