Protection Officer – Humanitarian Assistance

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking two Protection Officers to provide specialised case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable populations in Lebanon. You will work directly with women at risk, older persons, and persons with disabilities, ensuring their safety, dignity and access to essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver case management services, including needs assessment, action‑plan development, referrals, implementation and follow‑up.
• Provide age‑ and disability‑appropriate individual counselling and psychosocial support in both mobile and static safe spaces.
• Identify persons at heightened risk through home visits, referrals and coordination with partners.
• Maintain accurate case data in protection information‑management systems while respecting data‑protection policies.
• Collaborate with DRC protection teams and external service providers to secure timely access to services.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans for validation by the Protection Team Leader.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian protection, case management or psychosocial support for vulnerable groups.
• Knowledge of international protection standards and best‑practice approaches.
• Ability to work sensitively with diverse populations while ensuring confidentiality.
• Strong coordination and reporting skills.
