Programme Consultant – Education and Child Protection

About the role

The Programme Consultant will support UNICEF’s Education and Child Protection programmes in Lebanon’s field offices. Working under the supervision of the Programme Officer, the consultant provides essential operational, administrative and coordination assistance to ensure timely and effective delivery of interventions for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Programme Officer in the assigned field office.
• Manage data tracking, consolidation and reporting tools for programme monitoring.
• Document key challenges, programme delivery issues and support to partners in the field.
• Support partner coordination, follow‑up and liaison with government counterparts, UN agencies and local stakeholders.
• Conduct field visits to community centres, public schools, MAKANI and DIRAS sites to verify implementation.
• Assist in programme planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and field follow‑up in line with UNICEF policies.

Required profile

• Experience providing operational and administrative support to education or child protection programmes.
• Ability to manage data collection, consolidation and reporting in a humanitarian context.
• Strong coordination skills for working with partners, government officials and UN agencies.
• Willingness to travel to field locations such as Tripoli, Zahle and Tyre for site visits.
