Part-Time Student Services Assistant (Beirut)

About the role

The Lebanese American University is seeking a motivated Part‑Time Student Services Assistant to support the Student Services Unit and Registrar Office on its Beirut campus. This role provides essential administrative assistance, ensuring smooth daily operations and high‑quality service to students, faculty, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Student Services Unit help‑desk with routine tasks and provide backup to other office units as needed.
• Perform clerical duties including data entry, record maintenance, document creation, mail distribution, and telephone reception.
• Prepare meeting agendas, compile materials, and take minutes when required.
• Draft routine letters, memoranda, and correspondence for supervisor signature.
• Schedule appointments, arrange meetings, conferences, and travel logistics.
• Produce reports, presentations, and other documentation using appropriate software.
• Maintain the flow of work through the supervisor’s office and follow up on pending actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative support experience, preferably in an academic environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to handle confidential student records with discretion.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
