Medical Coding Coordinator (Nurse)

About the role

GlobeMed Group, the leading healthcare benefits management company in the MENA region, is seeking a Medical Coding Coordinator with a nursing background. The role supports the Medical Coding Director in maintaining and updating coding lists, ensuring compliance across managed healthcare projects.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and apply various coding systems through internal training.
• Assist the Medical Coding Director in updating coding lists and transitioning to new systems.
• Coordinate with functional managers to verify correct implementation and report issues.
• Map healthcare provider price lists and coding systems to support claims automation.
• Update and maintain codes in the system as directed.
• Prepare coding dictionaries, presentation materials, and e‑learning content.
• Track assigned coding and mapping tasks to ensure timely, accurate completion.
• Support documentation and research activities related to coding projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the healthcare field.
• Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in medical coding.
• Highly organized and meticulous with attention to detail.
• Ability to transfer knowledge effectively.
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of working under stress while maintaining a professional attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
