Mechanical Technician – Ferzol Production Facility

About the role

The Mechanical Technician ensures reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical equipment at the Ferzol production facility. The role focuses on rapid diagnosis, corrective actions, and preventive maintenance while adhering to safety and food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, compressors and ventilation systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans, perform alignment, lubrication, bearing replacement and tension adjustments.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, report shortages and support accurate consumption reporting.
• Follow lockout/tagout, GMP and safety procedures; report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Coordinate with production teams and guide mechanical helpers or external contractors during maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance actions, support root‑cause analysis and provide records for audits.

Required profile

• Technical diploma (BT) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Mechanics or related field.
• 1–3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or FMCG environment.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, compressors and ventilation systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and SOPs.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and basic CMMS/ERP systems.
• Understanding of LOTO, GMP and machine safety requirements.
