MEAL Assistant – Part-time – Beirut, Lebanon

About the role

The MEAL Assistant will work under the supervision of the MEAL Officer to support the implementation and improvement of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems for health and nutrition programmes in Beirut. The role involves field monitoring, data collection, validation, and reporting to ensure high‑quality quantitative and qualitative information.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine data collection, entry, verification and reporting tasks in line with established MEAL procedures.
• Support adaptation and implementation of monitoring tools such as checklists, exit surveys, beneficiary‑satisfaction surveys and post‑distribution monitoring forms.
• Assist in selecting representative beneficiary samples and preparing questionnaires for focus‑group discussions and key‑informant interviews.
• Perform field monitoring visits to health centres, shelters, outreach activities and document findings, gaps and beneficiary feedback.
• Help implement patient‑exit surveys, baseline/end‑line assessments and validation calls while maintaining confidentiality.
• Update indicator‑tracking databases (e.g., LogAlto) and compile data for health, nutrition and MHPSS indicators.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the guidance of a MEAL Officer and follow standardized procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for data‑quality checks and documentation.
• Willingness to travel to field sites and interact professionally with beneficiaries, partners and field teams.
