Maintenance Manager – Manufacturing & Facility Operations

About the role

The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team to ensure maximum uptime of dairy processing equipment, packaging lines and plant utilities such as refrigeration, boilers and water treatment systems. Based in Ghana, the role focuses on implementing preventive maintenance and complying with food safety and GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of production equipment, refrigeration systems and plant utilities.
• Ensure reliable operation of processing, dairy and plastic production machines.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Supervise, train and schedule maintenance technicians and electricians.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns and implement long‑term solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
