Lead Employee Relations – Investigations

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Lead for Employee Relations (Investigations) to shape a safe, respectful and accountable workplace. The role oversees grievance investigations globally, ensuring they are conducted fairly, consistently and to a high professional standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of specialist investigators, ensuring high standards for investigative planning, methodology, evidence assessment and report writing.
• Oversee the grievance investigation caseload, guaranteeing swift, compliant and proportionate handling while balancing workloads and meeting timelines.
• Conduct high‑risk investigations involving senior leaders, ensuring fairness, consistency and defensibility.
• Provide senior challenge and quality assurance, maintaining independence and impartiality of investigative decisions.
• Analyse case data and insights to identify systemic risks, inform organisational learning and improve employee experience.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in employee relations, workplace investigations or a related HR field.
• Proven ability to lead and develop investigative teams in a global, multicultural environment.
• Strong understanding of grievance processes, legal and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent judgment, analytical thinking and ability to handle high‑risk, confidential matters.
• Fluent English and right to work in the country of assignment.
