Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Jounieh/Harissa. You will support day‑to‑day accounting operations while working on the American Eastern Time zone schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to record business transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable: process invoices, prepare payments, reconcile vendor accounts.
• Assist with accounts receivable: generate invoices, track payments, follow up on overdue accounts.
• Support general ledger activities, including journal preparation and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare bank, credit‑card, and other reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Update financial data in databases for accurate, timely reporting.
• Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and closing processes.
• Assist senior accountants on various accounting projects and year‑end closings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5‑6 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent verbal, reading, and writing proficiency in English.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and immediate availability.
• Ability to work onsite following the American Eastern Time zone schedule.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
