Junior Accountant – Full‑time (Mkalles)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join POIL Group’s finance team in Mkalles. The role is full‑time and on‑site, supporting daily accounting operations and contributing to month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and process invoices accurately.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including cross‑country coordination.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain up‑to‑date ledgers.
• Prepare basic financial reports for internal review.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing tasks and organize financial documentation.
• Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Respond to internal inquiries, assist with audits, and help improve accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent training/experience).
• Foundational accounting knowledge such as journal entry posting, account reconciliation and basic reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time constraints.
• Good analytical and numerical abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Mkalles in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior internship or junior‑level experience in accounting or finance is an advantage; exposure to logistics or sustainability sectors is a plus.
