HVAC Supervisor

About the role

The HVAC Supervisor will lead the hotel’s heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration teams, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of the hotel’s HVAC infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assign daily tasks to HVAC technicians and engineering staff.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps and related equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest and operational HVAC complaints and resolve issues.
• Monitor equipment performance, energy consumption and maintain accurate CMMS records.
• Coordinate with contractors, service providers and suppliers for repairs and installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures and refrigerant handling regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of HVAC/R experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience is preferred.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and respond to emergencies.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, AHU/FCU, chilled water and control systems.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS platforms.
• Proficiency in refrigerant handling, recovery and related safety requirements.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
