Health Consultant – Public Health Projects

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Health Consultant to support the implementation and monitoring of health interventions within its Public Health Unit in Lebanon. The role focuses on strengthening access to essential health services, improving the quality and continuity of interventions, and enhancing community‑based public health preparedness and response.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution, and tracking of health projects and community‑based interventions.
• Monitor and ensure quality assurance of healthcare services delivered under the programme.
• Collect, analyse, and report data to inform evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Coordinate with IOM teams, partners, and stakeholders to align activities with donor requirements and IOM standards.
• Contribute to surveillance, screening, outreach, and response activities in the field.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Epidemiology, Health Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in public health programmes, health system support, disease surveillance, or health project coordination.
• Experience working with international humanitarian organisations or government agencies in multicultural settings is an advantage.
• Familiarity with community engagement interventions is a plus.
