Finance & Operations Officer – Lebanon & Syria

About the role

Tearfund is seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Officer to support its programmes in Lebanon and Syria. Based in Beirut, the role will work under the Finance and Operations Coordinator, ensuring effective programme delivery, compliance, and coordination with local authorities and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide finance, operational and administrative support to programmes in Lebanon and Syria.
• Manage cash books, petty cash transactions and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Coordinate with government authorities and external stakeholders on financial and operational matters.
• Support compliance with organisational procedures and reporting requirements.
• Assist in security and risk management activities in insecure environments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration or Financial Management.
• 3‑4 years of experience in finance, administration or operations within a business or NGO.
• Experience working in insecure environments and liaising with government authorities.
• Strong organisational, scheduling and independent working abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English.
